Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

Individual sessions cost £35 per session.  All fees are payable at the end of each session either in cash or by cheque.

How long is the session?

Sessions are usually weekly and last for 50 minutes.

Is it confidential?

I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in all of my client work, which means that confidentiality is maintained at all times.  There are a few exceptions to this however and those would be if I felt that you may cause harm to yourself or to another person once you leave the counselling room.  If I were to ever need to break our confidentiality for the above reasons then I would always try to discuss this with you first so that you would have control over any appropriate action if needed.

What if I need to cancel or I am late?

If you need to cancel a session I require a minimum of 24 hours notice.  If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice then I will need to charge the full price for the missed session.  If you are late the session, then by all means still come, however the session will finish at the usual, previously agreed time.

How many sessions will I need?

The therapy that I offer is open-ended which means that there is no set timescale.  We will discuss your needs during our initial session and will continue to monitor this during our work together.

Where will I need to come?

My therapy room is situated approximately 2 minutes’ drive from Junction 32 on the M4.  I am a 5 minute walk from Coryton train station.  My therapy room is attached to my home with its own private entrance and I have off-road parking here should you be arriving by car.

When are appointments available?

Evenings and weekends
